i've been thinking about recording an utau voicebank for a while. i had some time home alone today (after studying for like 3 hours) so i made a super basic cv voicebank following salem wasteland's tutorial

this is meant to be based off the voice of starvie, my undertale oc, who i've done a bit of voicing for before (by voicing i mean just three vowels for a music sampling thing).

it's a little choppy because my samples weren't super high quality, and this was my first time configuring oto.ini (basically the configuration file for how the samples should play), so there are some mistakes which i'll fix sometime.

i'm pretty happy with it considering it's my first try, but i don't know if it's similar enough to starvie's voice for my taste—the utau samples aren't as breathy as starvie's previous samples are (to be fair, it's harder to be breathy when you're doing actual consonants). they're closer to my actual voice, which i feel is higher-pitched than what i imagine starvie would have.

oh, and here's starvie's "original" voice if you're curious. the first file is the actual samples i recorded (over three years ago!) and the second is an example of it in action (made by my friend who does music stuff)

volume warning: the first file is really quiet. the second one is normal volume

i don't know if i should rerecord most of the samples to make them more legit (there's over 130 samples). i also plan on turning this into a cvvc at some point, which has like 50 more samples

what i'll probably do is have this as a "normal" voicebank, then record more accurate samples as a "soft" voice color, so that my work doesn't go to waste
